My Purpose

My Background

Given how much time we spend at work in the 21st century, it can play a large part in how we define ourselves and our purpose in society. My personal purpose is to improve people’s quality of life throughout their workweeks - to build organizational cultures that help foster creativity, fortify relationships, and build new communities. And to inspire people to make work more personal.

I am a Korean American, born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in the U.S. Throughout my life, I’ve lived and breathed in a multi-cultural environment. I appreciate that each individual is unique, which calls for a need for people in my field to strive to create tailored people programs, understanding the specific needs of individuals - a culture where diversity is appreciated and employees feel welcomed and celebrated for their own individualities.

I’m passionate about transforming leaders and their people into progressive, non-conformist organizations - from good intentions to good outcomes.

My passion is in understanding human behavior. Hence, I started my career in behavioral research in interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and mindfulness. I then went on to work in marketing, helping clients in the tech industry penetrate emerging global markets through a deep understanding of their potential customers.

I spent the last decade in various HR roles, spanning strategic and operational, specialist (CoEs) and generalist (HRBP), US and international.

“If we can recognize where we each individually hold power, and where we can influence within our own smaller spheres of influence, that makes a huge impact. We have to question everything and ask ourselves who really benefits from our current structures, processes, and policies.”

I’d love to show you how your people strategy can lead your organization to success
